If you are involved in a dispute concerning a Contract for the Sale of Land in NSW, and have engaged Blue Ocean Law Group℠ to act as your solicitor, as members of the NSW Law Society we are able to offer the Law Society’s Conveyancing Dispute Resolution Scheme to you as an option (provided the below requirements are met) to provide assistance in resolving your dispute.
This Scheme is available provided there is acceptance by the disputing parties of the following pre-conditions:
✅ Both parties and their solicitors must agree on the issue(s) submitted for determination;
✅ Both parties and their solicitors must agree to abide by the determination of the Committee; and
✅ The amount in dispute must not exceed $25,000.
In arriving at a determination the Committee considers:
⚖️ The terms of the contract;
⚖️ Statute law;
⚖️ Decided Court cases; and
⚖️ What is fair and reasonable in all the circumstances.
The Committee is not bound by its own precedents and may refuse to make a determination where the majority of the Committee considers it appropriate.
The Committee’s decision is provided to the claimants in writing without the reasons for the determination.
Participation in the Scheme by the individual solicitors who serve on the Property Law Committee of the Law Society is voluntary.
The Property Law Committee considers and determines disputes within a reasonable time.
Its proceedings are at the discretion of the Chair of the Committee.
The Law Society, its employees and members of the Property Law Committee are not liable to either party to a dispute for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising in the course of handling the dispute.
The Scheme is run by the Law Society’s Property Law Committee and aims to offer an impartial and authoritative alternative to litigation or arbitration.
Under the Scheme, the Committee is available to hear disputes and provide the parties with a binding determination.
Parties wishing to refer a dispute to the Property Law Committee are required to forward their completed and signed Conveyancing Dispute Resolution Scheme Joint Referral Notice, together with submissions and documentation, to the Law Society’s Property Law Committee.
Parties to a dispute may be required to provide further information to the Committee if it considers the original information insufficient.

Thanks for this FREE Titan Lawyer [AI] Demo, I think it was a useful and impressive exercise. Output: There was nothing in the output that I would disagree with. It has correctly identified some lack of specifics (which was on purpose due to the intra-group context). No hallucinations. There is no deficiency in the terms that Titan Lawyer failed to see. But on the other hand, I do not know what I don't know ...
Titan Lawyer [AI] Demo Use case: In terms of workflow and getting something back that is actionable, I think this works. It would support me in turning around the document. Would like to play with it some more if I can think of documents and use cases to throw at it.
James has been great to work with. I called him on a Monday and by Tuesday he had a formal [19-Page] Concerns Notice sent to a person defaming me and my business. He stayed in touch throughout the day, kept me updated regularly and was diligent to ensure we were exercising all of my rights under the law. Thanks, James!
